What are some analyst/intel positions with in law enforcement?

Outside of the federal government are there any analyst or intelligence positions with in the local or state levels of law enforcement?

Large police department incorporate analyst positions, but these are low paying office jobs where they track statistics on local crime. The place where intelligence analyst’s are utilized is on state or federally funded task forces. You would have to check with your state and or county authorities to find out about applying for these positions. Be aware that most jobs are scarfed up by retired LE. Good luck.
