Question for Paralegals – do you like your job?
I am considering getting my Paralegal Degree and was wondering if any Paralegals out there could give me some advice/answer a few questions? Do you like your job? Why did you become a Paralegal? What kind of work do you do (what area of law)? Do you make good money? Do you have any advice for me as to whether or not it would be a good job? Please, any feedback would be much appreciated…
I love my job. My firm is a small, two attorney firm. We do real estate, contracts, corporate work, estate planning, guardianships, and estates. For my area (central Florida), I make “okay” money. I’m not going to get rich, but I am able to pay my bills. I used to work in the banking industry, and this by far is better. We get all major holidays off, there aren’t any restrictions as to when we can be open, etc., so my office always has a 4 day weekend for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Memorial Day and Labor Day. 8 – 5, Monday through Friday. No nights, no weekends. You can’t beat a job like that.
